The theme of English Week 2019 (15 ~ 18 April) was “English Across Curriculum”. With the aim of arousing students’ interest in learning English from different subjects, a whole-school approach was adopted. In the morning assemblies, Principal, Vice-principals and Dean of Studies shared their English learning experience with students and gave them advice on improving English. In the English Week, English Department collaborated with more than 20 departments and committees, and co-organized a wide range of English activities, including Read All About It, Film Show-cum-Quiz, Eco Fashion Design Competition, “Reducing Our Carbon Foot Print” Video Making Competition, Book Exhibition, Quiz on Motivational Quotes, All About Easter Board Display and Easter Eggs Treasure Hunt. The highlight of the English Week was Fun Fair, in which senior form students designed LAC games for the junior form students to play. All students got the message that learning English from other subjects is fun.
